For there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.  Matthew 24:21 LSB

The day of Yahweh is mentioned throughout the Bible. In Joel 2:30-31 it speaks of the day of Yahweh. Isaiah 13:9 says, “Behold, the day of Yahweh is coming, cruel with fury and burning anger, to make the land a desolation. And He will exterminate the sinners from it. In verse 11 it says, “Thus I will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their iniquity; I will also put an end to the pride of the arrogant and bring low the lofty pride of the ruthless.” In verse 13 it says, “I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken from its place at the fury of Yahweh of hosts in the day of His burning anger.”

We may be living in some perilous times now, but my friend, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Revelation chapter 6 speaks of the seven seals and the devastating panic, chaos and destruction that will come upon the earth during the time of tribulation. You don’t want to be here for that.

Now, let me begin by saying there are those who believe in pre-tribulation rapture. Others believe the rapture will occur during the tribulation and yet others believe it will happen at the end of or just after the tribulation period.

I believe in the pre-tribulation rapture. Jesus told John to write to the church of Philadelphia that because they had done well and were an open-door church that showed love and were obedient to Him, He would save them from the time of testing that was to come upon the whole earth. 1 Thessalonians 1:10 says Jesus delivers us from the wrath to come. In 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 it says, “For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with Him.” This means whether we are dead or alive at the time of the rapture, we will be gathered up to heaven to live with Jesus Christ if we have accepted the salvation He has freely offered.

Warren Wiersbe said in his book, Be Victorious, “If men will not yield to the love of God and be changed by the grace of God, then there is no way for them to escape the wrath of God.”

If we refuse to accept Christ as our Savior, we must be prepared to experience the wrath of God. Hebrews 10:26 tells us that if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving knowledge of the truth or being told the truth, we no longer have a sacrifice for our sins but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries.”

If we are not for God, we are against God. I truly believe the rapture is near. Whether it will happen in our lifetime or not no one knows. It could be minutes away or many years away. Only God knows when it will occur. I do know, however, that we will all face death or the rapture. And I also know that none of us know when it will come. Are you ready? Do you truly believe that if you died right this minute, you would go to heaven to live forever with Jesus? We must know for sure.

If you have any doubt whatsoever, the time to get it right is right now. If you reject Him, if you refuse to change your sinful ways and surrender your life to Him, you will be subjected to His wrath. Trust me, you don’t want that.

Trust in Him today, surrender your life to Him, be obedient to His commands. Live each day as if the day of Yahweh is near.
