Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil. For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. Ephesians 6:10-12 HCSB
When we have problems with another human being, we see it as being them and their behavior, right? If they would only change. If they would only do this or that. If they would only stop doing this or that, then our relationship with them would be much better. We must understand that the devil loves to see discord in relationships. The devil loves to destroy relationships. A loving relationship is a symptom of a life lived for Christ and the devil can’t stand that. The devil doesn’t care whether the relationship is between parents, siblings, friends, a dating couple or married couple. If the relationship is a loving relationship and one or both parties love the Lord, the devil wants to destroy it. What really makes the devil mad is for us to live in harmony with those around us.
If you believe in God and heaven, then you must also believe in the devil and hell. You must understand that every single time you step out for God, the devil wants to stop you. My question for you today, is do you believe in God? I hope you answered yes. If you did, then know that the devil is just as real, and he wants to keep control of you. If you are sinning, he is happy. If you turn to God, then he will come against you. But, when you turn to God, you reside in his protective embrace. The devil may come against you, but as long as you stay focused on God and trust in Him, the devil doesn’t stand a chance. This is why God gives us the armor mentioned in Ephesians 10:6-18 to protect us.
Now, if you don’t know if you believe in God or if you don’t believe in God, then I challenge you to read the book the Case for Christ by Lee Strobel. If you don’t like to read, there is also a documentary and a movie. He is a reformed atheist who did a great deal of research trying to prove that God did not exist. But through his extensive amount of research, he came to realize that God does exist. He came to realize that God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to earth to die for our sins. He has also written the Case for Heaven, which is also a movie.
If there is chaos and confusion in your life, then know the devil is to blame. The devil loves strife and confusion. 1 Corinthians 14:33 tells us that God is not a God of disorder, but of peace. Don’t let the devil use you to create strife or confusion in a relationship. If you want to make somebody mad, make the devil mad by bringing love and harmony into your relationships. If you can’t do that because the devil is using the other party in that relationship to create strife, pray for them. Pray for their salvation. If they get saved, that will really make the devil mad.
Have a great day!
