Walk this way

“Therefore, as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, overflowing with gratitude.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:6-7‬ ‭HCSB‬‬

What does your walk look like? How we walk says a great deal about us. Those who study criminal behavior say that criminals often choose their victims by watching them walk. They are less likely to go after someone who walks with confidence and pays close attention to their surroundings.

Those that are lost are watching closely to see how us Christians walk.  It’s easy to talk the the talk, but difficult to walk the walk, unless we walk in Him.  Our scripture passage says “rooted and built up in Him”, this refers to a mature Christian. Once we receive Christ as our savior, we must grow in Him. We must be established in our faith. Remember faith is the opposite of fear. We must be thankful in ALL things, both the good and the bad.

So today I ask you, what does your walk look like to a lost world. Does your walk look like you have fallen victim to Satans’s schemes? Are you way more fearful than faithful? Are you constantly grumbling, fault finding and/or complaining?

Remember our actions speak louder than our words. Many believe they can’t witness because they are shy about speaking out about God. Well let me tell you something my friend, you are witnessing every moment of every day through your actions. The question is, who are you witnessing for?

I challenge you today, to closely examine your walk. Think about what others may see when they observe you. Make sure that others see you as someone who is firmly established in a good solid relationship with their Lord and Savior.

As you are out and about today, remember that you serve an awesome God who is walking beside you every step of the way. Walk on!
