From as far back as Genesis 3:15, God promised a Savior to save us from our sins. In Noah’s day man had become so corrupt God destroyed the earth by flood sparing only Noah and his wife and his three sons and their wives. Of course, God knew this wouldn’t wipe out sin and rebellion. He knew we would all be sinners in need of a Savior.

He sent his only begotten Son so that those of us who choose to accept Him as our Savior can have everlasting life (John 3:16). God wants everyone to join Him in heaven. But He will only allow those who have believed in Him and have accepted His Son, Jesus Christ, as their Savior to enter. When we truly accept Christ, we surrender our lives to Him. We love Him with all our hearts, soul, and mind. And we love and forgive others as He loves and forgives us.

In John 14:6 Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father but through Me.

In just a few days we will celebrate the birth of Jesus. We will celebrate the birth of a baby born to die for the sins of you and me. If we truly believe in Him, we will surrender our lives for Him and do His will here on earth. If not, then we will face a terrifying judgment.

Jesus has come. He died on the cross to save us from our sins. On the third day, He rose from the dead and later ascended into heaven.

I ask you today, do you believe this? I mean, do you really believe that this baby born of a virgin, died on a cross, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven? Because if you truly believe this, you need to surrender your life to Him.

Why? Because He’s coming back. For those of us who truly believe, we will go to heaven to live with Him and His Father for eternity. But, for those who don’t truly believe, they will be judged at the Great White Throne of Judgment. God will have open books before Him. There will be God’s word which gave them instruction on how they should live their lives. It told them what to do and not do. There will be a book listing all their sins and also their good deeds. And finally, there will be the “Lamb’s Book of LIfe”. For those whose names are not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, they will be thrown into the lake of fire.

I truly believe that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, was crucified, died and was buried and rose from the dead. I believe that He ascended into heaven to be at the right hand of God, His father. I also believe He is coming again, and I believe we all need to be ready. The King is coming, are you ready?
