Rejected

Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.   Romans 1:24-25 NKJV

I would strongly encourage you to take the time to read Romans 1:18-33. In this passage of Scripture, Paul tells us that if we reject God, God will reject us. He will give us over to our sinful desires. It reminds me of the old saying, “Careful what you wish for.” Sin looks good. It is appealing or else we wouldn’t become so entangled in it.

It’s much easier to be a sinner than it is to be a saint. Many sin thinking they will get things straight with God later. But be careful my friend because later is not guaranteed. None of us know when we will be called up out of this old sinful world.

If we are prepared for departure, it will be a blessing to be out of here. If not, it will definitely be a curse. Either will last for eternity this is why it is so important that we get it right.

Accepting Christ means giving our all to Him. It means surrendering our lives to Him with a desire and willingness to serve Him. It takes work. If we truly love the Lord with all our heart as Jesus instructed us to do in Matthew 22:37-39 we will want to serve Him and others.

Often times however we reject Christ choosing our sin over a life lived for Him. We grow comfortable in sin. The more we continue to reject Him, the more He rejects us and eventually He will just give us over to our sin.

If you get before the throne of judgment and are rejected, this means you will go into the lake of fire. We don’t want that to happen. This is why it is so important to know for sure that we are truly saved. How do you truly know you are saved?

Well, one surefire way to know we will be rejected is to reject God while we are here on earth. This is what happened in today’s Scripture passage. If we reject God enough, He will give us over to our evil desires.

Jesus said in Matthew 10:33, “But whoever denies Me before men, I will deny before My Father who is in heaven.”

We are not to deny Jesus before our friends, but we are to put Him first. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 that we should first seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to us. He was referring to the things we need.

God doesn’t want half our hearts; He wants all our hearts. He said in Jeremiah 29:13, “You will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.

There will be no middle ground at the Great White Throne of Judgment. Either we will be accepted, or we will be rejected. How we live our lives here on earth and the choices we make while we still have a choice will determine which it will be.

I encourage you to choose wisely.

Have a great day!
