But He was pierced because of our rebellion, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on him, and we are healed by his wounds. Isaiah 53:5 CSB
How many times have you been in a situation where you were left feeling, “It’s just not fair?” Or perhaps you even cried that out. Perhaps someone responded to you with, “Life is not fair.”
We all want to be treated fairly, but in life, the truth is that there are times when we are not.
If you are in a time in your life where you are feeling down and life has not been “fair” to you, just think about Jesus. Life was certainly not fair to Him on this earth either.
Isaiah is prophesying Christ’s crucifixion. He was letting the Israelites know that Jesus would come to earth as a lowly servant. He would be born into poor circumstances. He would suffer because of our sin. He would be rejected and despised. And if that’s not enough, He would be humiliated, tortured, and crucified for our sins.
That’s just not fair, is it? So, what can we do to pay Him back? Well, I’m glad you asked.
Jesus gave His life for us; we must give our lives to Him. This is the only way to even things out. This is the only way for us to have eternal life. Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Jesus died so that we may have eternal life. He paid the ransom to save us from our sins and an eternity in hell. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.”
The only way to salvation and eternal life is through Jesus Christ. He paid for our sin, but we must accept this payment. We must accept Him as our Savior, this is the only way we can obtain righteousness.
Yes, my friend, life is not fair, but Jesus made a way to save us. I beg of you to come to Him today. This awesome gift is freely offered to anyone who will accept Him. Trust in Him today. Give your life to Him, He gave his for you. Seems fair, doesn’t it?
Have a great day!
