Come with me

In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if not, I would have told you.  I am going away to prepare a place for you.  If I go away and prepare a place for you, I will come back and receive you to Myself so that where I am you may be also.  John 14:2-3  HCSB

When someone says, “come with me”.  That can be a good thing or a bad thing.  If your teacher says it and leads you into the principals office after you have misbehaved in class, that can be a bad thing.  If someone is waiting to serve you cake and ice cream it can be a good thing.

Last night completed our revival and what a revival it was!  It was just a wonderful time of rejuvenation.  It was wonderful to join each night for four nights with fellow believers and be revived.  On Tuesday night, Bro. Tim Norris spoke with us about hell.  Now if someone invites you there, this is an invitation that you really should decline.  I don’t know about you, but I fully intend to go to heaven and I would love for you to come with me.

God wants us to join Him in heaven.  He loves us and wants this so badly that he gave his only Son to die a horrible, humiliating death to save us from our sins so that we could spend eternity in heaven (John 3:16).  Now let me tell you something, that is an invitation that is just too good to pass up.  I plan on taking full advantage of this.  I eagerly await my trip to heaven and I would love for you to join me.

Those headed to hell also want you to come with them.  They will encourage you to participate in the same sinful behavior that they do and head to the same hell they are headed to (1Peter 4:1-6).

So today you have a choice to make.  I encourage you to come with me.  I am headed to a place where Jesus is going to wipe every tear from my eye. I am headed to a place where there is no more death and no more mourning.  There is no more pain (Revelation 21:4).  That back ache you deal with-gone.  Those migraines that plague you-gone.  I’m headed to a place that needs no sun or moon because the glory of God provides the light (Revelation 21:22-27).  I am headed to a place with gates made of pearls and streets made of gold (Revelation 21:21).  I’m headed to a place where the foundations of the wall of the city is adorned with jewels like jasper, sapphire, agate and emerald (Revelation 21:9).  Oh and best of all, I will get to see some people very dear to my heart that I know are waiting for me there.

So where are you headed?  Are you headed to the lake that burns with fire and sulfur (Revelation 21:8)?  Are you headed into a place of eternal punishment (Matthew 25:46)? Are you headed to a place where the beast and the false prophet are residing, a place where you will be tormented day and night forever and ever (Revelation 20:10)?

You have a choice.  You can choose where you spend eternity.  Today I am strongly encouraging you to spend eternity with me and the other believers.  Now maybe you don’t go to church because of the hypocrites and those in church that you know are sinners and perhaps even unsaved.  But, let me tell you this, all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).  Christians never claim to be perfect, just forgiven.  Our guest speaker, Bro. Tim Norris, said it best the other night.  He said, “I’d rather go to church with a few sinners and hypocrites than spend eternity with a hell full of them”.

Choose wisely, we are talking about forever and ever.  Won’t you come with me and other reformed sinners?  All you need to do to book this trip is to admit that you are a sinner, confess your sins to God, repent and ask God to forgive you and ask Jesus to come into your heart.  Believe in Him and trust in Him.

Today whether you have never known Christ as your Savior or whether you were saved, but have backslidden, know that you will either go to heaven or to hell.  There is no door number three.  I encourage you to make your reservations in heaven by being sure that your name is written in the Lamb’s book of Life.  If you have any questions about how to go about doing this, you may contact us through this website or speak with a pastor or Christian friend.  I truly want you to join me on this wonderful journey.

Have a great day!
