We like to believe that we have guardian angels or angels that protect us.  Perhaps you have experienced a time when you felt that God protected you from something.  I have been praying that I would not get the flu and I have been taking precautions by trying to protect myself with essential oils whenever I went out in public places, but I got the flu.  Now, I don’t know why I got the flu other than to say there were a few times I failed to use my essential oils, but I did and for a few days there I was really miserable.  I ended up going back to my doctor yesterday, who sent me to the hospital for IV fluids and meds which has made me feel much better.  That medical staff was like angels helping me yesterday and it was greatly appreciated.  Please lift our first responders and medical staff in doctor’s offices and hospitals up in your prayers because they are battling this flu epidemic on the front line.

When we are sick or when we suffer we may become fearful.  We may begin to wonder if the pain or the illness or whatever we are experiencing will ever end.  It’s easy to wonder why God is allowing us to go through something like this.  But the most important thing we can do is draw close to God.  Draw near to Him. Trust that his angels are guarding you and taking care of you.

I have been in some dangerous situations.  I can recall at least two situations where I should not have made it out, but I did.  I prayed.  I drew close to God and I felt his presence bring me to safety and out of harm’s way.  When we face dangerous situations I think it is natural for us to question God as to why He is putting us through this, but we need to be realizing that He is there with us and He is perfectly capable of bringing us through.

When I worked in police work, we were always told in all of our trainings that the most important thing we did each day was go home at the end of the day.  Yes, police work is dangerous, but none of us ever know if we are gonna make it through the day.  We shouldn’t live in fear, however, we should trust that God is with us and He is taking care of us even in what seems to be the worst of times.

I just pray for you today that  whatever you do and wherever you go, you can feel God’s presence.  I pray that you draw near to Him and keep Him near to you.  I also pray that you feel guarded and protected.
